Sophia Romano is a Meriam woman from the Komet tribe in the Torres Strait. She also has family connections to Erub. She is the Partnering and Programming Manager for Youth within the Australia First Nations Program (AFNP) at World Vision Australia where she is accountable for the development and implementation best practice youth programs and working with First Nations communities. She partners with First Nations organisations on the development and implementation of partnership and capability plans. She also leads the work of co-design, adaptation, implementation, transition and monitoring of youth programming, across youth programming with First Nations communities for WVA.
Sophia has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications majoring in Journalism from UTS, and attended school in Australia and New Zealand
