Ninja Nannies facilitated by Grandmaster Fay Shacklock, an inclusive seniors program that uses a mix of martial arts and tae kwon do to improve balance, endurance and strength in older people. The program has operated in the Great lakes for the past 14 years, hosting classes in public spaces throughout the community to encourage access and participation.
The Ninja Nannies promotes an active lifestyle for seniors while providing a fun and welcoming environment where people can build relationships with peers through a common interest.
The program facilitates four classes per week, targeting Aboriginal Elders, Seniors affected by Dementia and outlying communities such as Pacific Palms and Coomba Park.
