Big Sing by the Sea – We are back this November

Minimbah and Worimi Elders and Forster Neighbourhood Centre invite the whole community to our fifth Big Sing by the Sea event on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 November, 2023.

There is a great program of activities over the weekend to ensure each and every participant has a truly enjoyable experience, packed with opportunties to immerse yourself in local culture and history.

Big Sing By the Sea - ticket sales

Event tickets include two days of singing and cultural workshops, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, attendance at Sunday concert/exhibition
Concession tickets are for Seniors Card holders and Concession Card holders
Aboriginal Cultural knowledge holder tickets are available to participants who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander

On Friday 10 November, we will kick off the weekend with a Wallis Lake Cultural Cruise hosted by local Worimi Elders who will share stories about growing up on Worimi country. Contact Forster Neighbourhood Centre on (02) 65 554351 for sponsored tickets.

On Saturday 11 November, Big Sing by the Sea will host a bush tucker inspired event dinner for attendees. Your ticket price will include delicious bush tucker inspired curries and salads.

On Sunday 12 November, Event attendees will participate in a showcase performance of the songs shared together over the weekend. These tickets are for family and friends of attendees. Price is for individual tickets. N.B Event attendees are the performers so tickets not applicable for Event ticket holders

Worimi Cultural Experience (Optional)
Opportunity to stroll along Pebbly Beach up to the Tanks and back, with local Cultural Knowledge holders who have a wealth of cultural and bush tucker knowledge. If you prefer, there will be a weaving workshop, a short film viewing and time to view works by local artists. Please indicate your preference for numbers.
